At the Severn Valley Railway engine shed

This morning we went to Dudmaston Hall, a National Trust property near Bridgnorth where we looked around the gardens and had a picnic. There was no time to do more as F was running some of his vintage wind up steam trains at a railway show close by. I'd been asked to take some photos so went with him.

The show went on for hours so I had a walk around the village on my own before returning to have tea and cake and to take more photos. One of the layouts is an extra.

When F had finished we went to Bridgnorth where we had a short stroll by the river before going to the Severn Valley Railway. The trains had stopped running but we had a look around before visiting the station pub that was pretty full of customers.  After something to eat we returned home. The last engine of the day had just gone to the engine shed which is my blip.

It was quite a coincidence that we had a railway outing on the very day that this dreadful thing happened at another model railway show.  It's wonderful that £50,000 has been raised but no money can compensate for their loss.
