Beer in Beer

I had a day out with my friend and ex-colleague, John. I went over to his neck of the woods this time and we went off to Beer. We started by having lunch and a pint in The Anchor while we chewed the fat about things since we last met.

After that we went about the business of photography. We had thought to do some long exposures but of course today the sea was 'flat as a dab' calm. Never mind, for me the fishing boats hauled up on the beach are always an attraction and down on the east side of the beach there's a nice seaweed covered rocky promontory which you can see in my extra.

Its Wideangle Wednesday (hosted by BobsBlips) and the theme this week is 'Artistic'. The beach at beer has been a tremendous draw for artists for hundreds of years as the boats and the cliffs are very picturesque. Of course it's also a haven for photographers and a big favourite with me. John and I had a great afternoon.
