What I've Done

By JohnGravett

What really sums up Christmas eve?

Finished the last-minute shopping, collected the Turkey from the farm, even prepped the pigs in blankets, parsnip, red cabbage, carrots, and brussels for tomorrow ~(never been so organised!).

Went to church for the 5.30 crib service - wonderful - a 2-year old tried to steal the wise men and the shepherds! - made it far more entertaining than normal.

All that could sum up Christmas eve, but Mike's note to Santa, with the carrot for Rudolph, and Mince pie and whisky for Santa, which read:

To Santa
Have a very marry Christmas and don't get too fat on mince pies. Make sure Rudolph gets the carrot,

and how do you squeeze down the chimney?

from Mike G

That sums up Christmas eve exactly.

For those who want to know, lit by a single flash in a silver umbrella, the sparkle in the whisky helped by cutting a piece of baco foil to fit under the glass and up the back the height of the whisky - it makes such a difference.

We also remember a year ago today Gail being flown home from Val d'Isere with a broken back - so good that she's 95% recovered now.

Happy Christmas to you all.
