Sally Mair - Loving life

Mission accomplished

Our church fair tomorrow afternoon in Davidson's Mains, the forecast is not great so fingers crossed the weather holds.
A friend had promised to bake for the sake and then was unable to so I decided to have a go on her place. I haven't baked any kind of cake apart from a christmas cake for years.
Da da! Three cherry cakes and a Victoria sponge which I'll put together with some buttercream and some home made raspberry jam tomorrow morning. I was so chuffed with myself.
The painter was here again this morning, so another early start. He's almost finished now and it's looking great.
K and E came for part off the afternoon, K was trying to stay awake as she worked her last night duty of the set last night, she was dead on her feet poor soul.
I Picked up I from nursery at 5.30 and took her home, I got such a welcome from her.
I came home and baked the cakes then we decided to have a Chinese take away which was lovely. The day finished with a walk to the village. So nice to have light evenings again eweren't home till after 9.30 and it was still daylight - great!
14514 steps today so nicely on target with 2/2
