The irises and alliums are in flower

One of my favourite things about returning home after the away is to look at how the garden has changed and after nine nights in Shetland the garden has changed immensely.  I thought I’d better start with the irises as they have such a short life and at the moment they are looking magnificent.  The alliums are beginning to show signs of their seedpods, but I think they’ll last until tomorrow.

I’ve been downloading a few thousand images today and trying to delete as many as possible - I think I’m probably `gannet blind’ as I ended up with so many.  I need to catch up with back blips too as the last few days of our trip were a bit hectic and I ran out of time to upload them.
