Bogbean

A family trip to Sutton Park NNR, where Chris is doing an invertebrate survey. A new site for me, with plenty of interesting heathland and mire habitats supporting species that I just don't normally see in the Peterborough area. Bogbean was perhaps the most spectacular, but it was excellent to see lots of Ivy-leaved Crowfoot, Butterwort, Marsh Valerian, Marsh Cinquefoil, Common Cotton-grass and the tiny flowering spikes of Dioecious Sedge at one of its very few southern sites in the UK
