horns of wilmington's cow

Thrifty

Better.

Sheep out on the thrift in Achnahaird Bay, as we headed round a walk we also did last year. But it's a nice coastal loop, and finally, though distant, there was an otter (in the extras). I know I've got much better shots of otters (especially from just a few minutes out of my front door at home in the park), but it still gives me a kick to see them.

Beautiful close views of a couple of Black-throated Divers on the way back in the car as well - given there are only about 200 breeding pairs in the UK each summer, this is something of a privilege.

Also, video of our nesting Pied Wagtails - we'd mentioned that it looked like they'd stolen a Swallow's nest, from the way it had been constructed, and bumping into the owner he confirmed that in the past Swallows had indeed been where the Wagtail now is. Cheeky wee mite. Look too young to fledge while we're here sadly!
