Bridge 128a

A Shropshire Union Canal bridge with a difference. This is the first aqueduct that I have blipped so far and I think I'm right in saying that it is the first one without a bridge number plaque. However, according to my Canal Companion book, this is number 128a.

It is also one of the newest bridges I have featured as it was only built in 1992 when the Deva Link road, which passes underneath, was constructed. There is a Chester FC connection here because the old football ground was demolished in the same year and the new road was built to relieve traffic going to the new retail park which was built in its place.
