Reflections

Today was supposed to be a lazy day at home.  But yesterday I got an email from SeeFilmFirst offering me a free ticket to see " Wallace And Gromit's Musical Marvels " at The Sage, Gateshead. So I decided to go.

There were two performances today and I chose the one at 1.30pm.  Had to pick up my ticket beforehand so I headed to The Sage in good time.  The Sage is a large venue but on this occasion only the ground floor level was occupied.  Mostly schoolchildren and their teachers and a few mothers with ( crying) babies.  Lots of empty seats though so I guess that was why they released some seats for free yesterday.

There was a live orchestra who were dressed up as characters from the Wallace and Gromit series.  During the first half of the show they showed clips of Wallace and Gromit who were supposed to be backstage and the orchestra played various tunes.  In the second half they showed the Wallace and Gromit film " The Wrong Trousers " with the music played by the orchestra. I have THIS TUNE in my head now.

My blip shot shows buildings etc on the other side of the river in Newcastle reflected in The Sage. A  bit of the Tyne Bridge has sneaked into the shot.

Musical link is REFLECTIONS Of My Life - by The Marmalade.  Its doubly appropriate as apart from referring to the reflections on my photo I was collecting a ticket from The Sage today for a show I'm going to in November.  Its called Sixties Gold and one of the acts is The Marmalade.

The weather so far had been sunny and dry but when I came out of the Sage it was raining heavily. But I had a brolly so I was Ok to walk up to the shops in Gateshead and pop into Iceland.
