Boston Gay Pride Parade

What a stunner of a day for the annual Boston Gay Pride Parade!  Perfect weather for the thousands of people who participated.  This is a festive rainbow arch of balloons decorating Downtown Crossing, right outside the grocery store that I needed to visit this afternoon.  Just as I left with my purchases, great waves of people were coming off Boston Common into the downtown area, so despite the fact that everyone seemed happy and peaceful, I was glad to get back to the calm of our apartment!  I am not a good candidate for crowds!
