Old School

The rain stopped for a while this afternoon. That didn't mean we got the kind of light you long for but it meant I could get out somewhere. I found myself going through Ashcombe and it may have been the rhodedendrons in bloom that made me notice this slightly chocolate boxy house and garden. It's the Old Schoolhouse and looks very attractive from this angle. From a closer viewpoint the garden is a little bit over 'chocolate boxed' with all sorts of garden ornaments which must be a bit at odds with how it was when it was still a school with 50 or so kids coming and going.

It's a bit of a busy week this week. Both of my bands are appearing at the Bishopsteignton Village Festival which starts next week and we want to be well rehearsed and tight for these showcase events on the Saturday. It was the Commitments last night which went well and we were sounding great and the little band (only 8 of us) M8B tonight.
