A Perfect June Day at Childhood's Gate

Once in a while, along comes a perfect day in June that will knock your socks off. This was one of them. It was sunny and breezy and absolutely beautiful. My travels permitted a quick visit to the Arboretum, and it was packed with people.

Someone was giving tours. There was a bus in the parking lot. I pulled into the last parking space, grateful to snag it. And then I strolled around for 15 minutes, soaking it all in on this beautiful day.

Above you may see the entrance to Childhood's Gate, the children's garden. The beautiful light illuminated everything, turned the colors even brighter against a sky of pure blue. It was a day so sunny that the transformation canopy at Childhood's Gate cast its colorful self upon the ground in celebration.

Here's a soundtrack for this image: Stevie Wonder, with You Are the Sunshine of My Life.
