Garden roses #3 Constance Spry

Constance Spry (1886 - 1960) lead a very varied and rich life. I first came across her when my mother acquired Spry’s cook book, but she originally worked with flowers.
She tragically slipped and fell on some stairs and died an hour later, allegedly her last words were “Someone else can arrange this”!!
She has this lovely rose named after her, one that my mother loved and I was pleased to plant in my garden last autumn. She is growing well and this is her first bloom.
