Newcastle Downunder

Bon voyage

The heavily laden Key Calla was heading somewhere, probably to Japan or China.

I had the drone up earlier and caught it leaving the harbour in the extra.  Just as I brought the drone in and probably right below where I took the  shot I saw a humpback.   It was in quite close.   I didn't get a shot of it or even see it until the drone was down which is just as well as I would have been too close for whale police.  Of course the camera was in the boot of the car wasn't it.

All up I saw about half a dozen whales, no dolphins or Pelicans today although there was a rather lovely black shouldered kite that was teasing me when I didn't have the camera with me.

The hounds have been walked and chores have been done.  No visit this weekend as the nursing home is still in lockdown.

Thanks so much for the love on yesterday's too, much appreciated.
