Day 22: around Barra (2)

Mr hazelh and I lay on the hotel beach in the sunshine most of this afternoon, looking straight out to sea, mesmerised by the waves (as blipped). We're going to miss these beaches when we leave the Outer Hebrides on Sunday.

Earlier in the day we jumped onto our bikes for the short trip into Castlebay to find some lunch at the Hebridean Toffee Company. (Sensibly we munched our way through tuna, smoked salmon and prawn sandwiches, and not a tray of tablet, tempting though that would be!)

We played Scrabble again before dinner. The first game was a draw, and Mr hazelh won the second. I'm still two games behind. Can I catch up before the last game on the ferry on Sunday morning?

Exercise today: not much other than a little cycling and walking.
