Skippers Sussed

I saw my first skipper butterfly of the season today. I used to be confused about them but I think I've finally got them sussed. This one was medium sized and to me looks 'dirty', it is a strong ginger colour with dark veining and a geometric pattern on the wings. It's antennae are pointed and black only on the very tips. A large skipper I think.

Then I spotted a lighter coloured, smaller skipper. On close inspection it had antennae that look like the complete rounded bulbs on the end had been dipped in black ink. An Essex skipper! Love these, I certainly wasn't expecting to see one today.

Also enjoying the vetch was a small skipper which are lighter and smaller than the large skipper and have orange tips to their antennae.
