Brothers

Took NZ b-i-l out and about today. Here's the two brothers in the kitchen garden of Berrington Hall, a gem of a small Palladian mansion currently undergoing quite a bit of TLC. The renovations include a curve-walled kitchen garden, one of only two still existing that were designed by Capability Brown, the thinking behind it being that the curve made full use of the changing sun position and maximised fruit production. Clever.

I'm afraid the blip looks like LH is being punched in the eye by flower (in my other two attempts the punch has landed!) but I wanted a record of the two of them together; we see his brother so rarely.

Off into Shrewsbury tonight for a meal and a  whistlestop wander round the town through quiet streets that are usually fairly thronging.  The Severn is flowing extremely fast and is still very high, but it must be throwing up plenty of insects as there were quite a few bats darting around the arches.

Again, family and garden are taking up so much time. I'll be catching up asap!
