More showers today. Smokey chose my gazebo as his place to recline, making himself 'useful' by sitting on a tray of bulbs.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Like a Rolling Stone (recorded live, Monterey Festival, 18 June 1967)
This was the day, 52 years ago to the day, that Jimi Hendrix became a star, a performance later immortalised on film. Bob Dylan's "grandma" referred to in the intro was actually the bass player Noel Redding with his Dylanesque frizzy hair.
One of the earliest concerts I attended was Hendrix headlining at Coventry Theatre on 19 November 1967, still a benchmark by which all other concerts are measured, when he performed this, Wild Thing, all three of his singles to date and tracks from the first album including Fire. Quite a gig, especially considering that just below Hendrix on the bill were the Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett, whose set ended with Candy And A Currant Bun.
