Hunters Moon

By way of the bus driving past before its scheduled time, resulting in our walking to another stop to kill time, I was is the perfect position to blip the sundial on the eastern wall of Hunters Moon, a house that we pass very frequently. The house itself was built in the 1930's, which may explain the decorative surround.

The next bus duly caught, we proceeded to the Botanics, because the Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum) is flowering for the third time - amid great excitement in 2015, surprise 2017 and now, I imagine, amazement. The height of the flower is measured daily at 1pm, (extra photo) and flagged against a rule; today it reached 229cm and is not yet at full height, nor has it opened - so a follow-up visit is planned!
