Technology!

It should not be possible for a Smartphone to place itself in Do Not Disturb mode without my knowing it, but apparently it is.  I didn't get to the library this morning because, when the alarm went off, it made no sound, and I didn't wake up until 10:05 AM.  Tutoring starts at 10, so I had to call and say i couldn't be there.  Aside from reinforcing my belief that technology really can't be relied on, this event also spoiled my day - tutoring is really the high point of my week and I always feel energized afterward.  Not so today.

I went to Trader Joe's to shop because there is always something silly to see, and today this box of cookies caught my eye.
