The Slow Road Home... Day 2

WhizzFizzFest, Aylesbury

A beautiful blue sky day of warm sunshine, 21 degrees will do me fine. Arriving in Aylesbury in search of brekkie, we found ourselves in the middle of a colourful parade, part of the town’s literary and arts festival, WhizzFizzFest, which is where I came across this striking lady who was a dancer with the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band.

Leaving Aylesbury, we continued our journey west, arriving early afternoon at our camp for the night, in the Savernake Forest on the outskirts of Marlborough. From there it was just a short stroll down through the forest to the market town, though we were a bit too late in the day to take in the market, so after a quick walk around, it was back to camp to enjoy the peace and beauty of the forest setting.
