Beasties at the Water Basin

I've been there yesterday morning and everything was just fine; the water cold as usual and very refreshing.
Went there again today after work (too hot for cycling, took the car) and was almost eaten alive by the mosquitoes. And, I'm afraid, a few horse flies had their fun, too. But the water was still fantastic and soooo refreshing on a hot day like today. And the temperature will go up more tomorrow. Another fun day at the office ahead (and the commute home.....I try not to think about it.....).
