Orange, black and white

A lovely day with plenty of sunshine and a slight breeze - perfect for getting all the washing dry. A routine checkup at the dentist took me into Appleby and a walk by the river.

Arriving home I noticed the Catmint was full of bees. I think this one is a Tree Bumblebee - it has the distinctive orange, black and white colouring. A non-native bee that arrived by itself and is now well-established in most parts of the country. As it is a great pollinator, and doesn't appear to be causing any harm, it is currently welcomed.
