Delphinium

At last we have flowers  on our delphinium.  We bought it about 4 years ago  and the following spring the slugs got to it.  So we moved it to a pot and still it was eaten.  Last year we put it in a different place and the drought got to it.  this year it has  liked where it is - but then it got too dry and we repotted it and water it well.  Rescue number 1.  Then the wind got up and was blowing it all over the place so moved to shelter rescue number 2.  It was quite happy and then the squirrel decided that it liked jumping on the feeder and landing on the plant - moved again sorescue number 3.  It is now flowering and this it the first flower to open.  Taken with my extension tubes  as the flower is really small.  Looking forward to the rest opening.  We spent some time in the garden today and cleaned out the pumps - they were a bit mucky!!
