A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Anglers

Our (well, mine and the cheeseminor's) first trip to Anglesey.   We had targeted the RSPB reserves around Holyhead but never got there.

A pause to get a view of the Menai Bridge put us on the back roads, and we got distracted initially by signs for Red Squirrel woods, a model village where the the Cheeseminors discovered their inner seven-year-old (we won't mention the train) and then by the beach and woods by Niwbwrch, and the lighthouses.

An excited shout from S indicated he spotted a pod of dolphins waaay off in the distance.  (Having spent one gap-year summer dolphin-spotting he does have his eye in on this - no-one else would have seen them.)

Photo-wise I focussed more on the (rather more visible) local seabirds - I was quite pleased with this one.

Didn't see any Reds.
