Yellow roses

I song I really like is 'Yellow Roses,' as performed by Ry Cooder on his album, 'Chicken Skin Music.' My late wife, Ruth's favourite flower was the rose, so I always pay attention to them. There's one line in the song I particularly  I like:
'I place them near your photograph, and as the petals fall....'
Just that image, says it all.
