Wednesday, what a Wednesday ...

I nipped to Morrison's early, very civilized, must make a note to visit supermarkets early mornings in future. Spotted a Trachelospermum jasminoides, on sale, last of the offer but still looking good, & I'd recommended this plant to a friend so quickly rang her to see if she had found one. Nope! So, grabbed one for her. Back to base, Yogi could'nt understand what was going on as we normally walk early, but I'd arranged to walk 10km with a couple of friends, they were coming over to me. We met up just after 10am at Coombe Cellars, setting off along the lanes before joining up with some bridle paths. Bess, a working springer, & Yogi, a chilled working cocker got on extremely well. Weather was perfect, light cloud most of the way round, just warming up as we got back to CC for a snackette and something to quench our thirsts. This walk was a bit hilly in places so on our Cancer research walk on the 21st July should be a doddle. NO jogging. :)
Got back here & did some dead heading and watering .The pots I'd tidied and top dressed plus the walnut seeding & winter flowering jasmine that I potted up were looking happy.
Jos another friend was coming over for a coffee, & light supper, she brought her own though as she is desperately trying to stick to her diet, she's done really well, lost 1.5st this year but still got a way to go. We were going to eat out but it was her weigh in today, Thursday. (I'm back blipping btw).so did'nt want to go mad. We were going up to Exeter School of Art for an open evening. Another friend has just completed an Access to Higher Education, Art & Design 1 year course so we went to look at her work plus Jos possibly interested in applying for this course so it was an opportunity for her to have a chat with Tracey, & Rupert, one of teh course tutors that she had corresponded with by e.mail. I think she's going to go for it, & I'm so pleased she is. I think she will love it. As we came back we made a brief stop to walk beside the estuary. We just missed the sun setting beyond the moor, but the colours etc. were still beautiful. We had a mooch along the river wall towards the bridge, took a few pics then headed back as it was getting a tad chilly. Jos came in, we had a coffee & discussed the Art course. She left at 11pm, going home to try and find her art course work from school. ( She's messaged me today to say she has'nt found it, probably throwing it out on one of her not so good days in the past).
My blip is the bridge from Teignmouth to Shaldon across the river Teign estuary. I was hoping the lights would come on but we were getting cold so had to settle for this one.
