Celebrating....

....our Independence Day. Happy 4th of July to all the USA blippers.
As many people do on the 4th., we started the morning off at our city parade. As we walked the couple blocks to where the parade would pass us, Mae kept saying she was so excited to see it, but it turns out the highlight of the morning (in Mae's eyes) was all the candy that was thrown to her! She wasn't even thinking of eating it (she isn't given candy very often), but being able to run part way into the street to grab it was, to her, the ultimate thrill!!  We grilled out--Tom made steaks--and tonight were the fireworks, which is always a favorite of mine. :))
