Best man and groom

Torquay is the second destination of our long weekend in Somerset and Devon. We drove down here this morning for a wedding.

The groom is our oldest 'joint' friend. If it weren't for him, it's unlikely that I would have met and married Mr hazelh. Pictured with the groom in my blip is his 14 year old son, who performed the duties of best man as his father married for a second time today.

The weather has been very sunny and warm, so perfect for an outside ceremony, drinks and photographs in the hotel grounds. However, it has to be said that we were rather relieved when we all were invited to retreat from the heat and take our tables indoors for the wedding breakfast and speeches. By this point in the day poor Mr hazelh was melting in his suit.

We both changed into lighter clothes for the evening reception and dancing. Amongst my partners was a very sweet toddler who was quite a star of the dancefloor.

Exercise today: some walking, but mainly dancing (12,841 steps).
