Climate change

A big change in the weather today with heavy rain right from the start, flooded roads, hills full of waterfalls! It's been a long time since we had rain like this!

I went up to Taynuilt this morning to see my friend Dave, who is attempting to renovate a long abandoned nursery and garden down by Loch Etive. Sounds like my kind of job - lots of propagating, growing vegetable and other plants to sell, planting interesting trees and shrubs and talking to people!

After leaving I drove the last couple of hundred yards down to Loch Etive - this swan is actually on the River Awe, which discharges into Loch Etive at this point after leaving Loch Awe only a few miles away. The pylon carries power cables across the loch.
