Fairmead Bottom, Epping Forest

After a brief shower this morning, Zeus09smum and I had hopes of droplet shots, but it was not to be,  The sky remained overcast but any raindrops had quickly dried.  What was lacking in droplets was made up for in an abundance of insects though and I did take quite a few shots.  My favourite was this little hoverfly which hung about (literally) on the knapweed, giving me plenty of time to snap it.

In other news, Violet has been with us this weekend  and I think has had a nice time.  This morning she asked me where she was going today(she has a rather busy life) and seemed delighted when I told her that it was her rest day and she didn't have to go anywhere or do anything that she didn't want to.  We should all have a rest day!
