Butterfly Pupa

An early start to day - on the road to Doncaster at 7 a.m. for a day of babysitting - our daughter has been on night shifts over the weekend, so needed to sleep today.

Glad I set off early, as the journey took 50 minutes instead of 30 - and I arrived just in time for eldest granddaughter’s school run (or walk)!

For her birthday last month eldest granddaughter got a ‘butterfly’ kit - had to send away for four caterpillars which have been fattening up and have now pupated. They are currently hanging on the top of their container. There is a bigger net cage for them to transfer to when they emerge as butterflies and they will then be released into the wild.

Back home at tea time...straight into fabric stacking duties...no peace for the wicked
