Brockwell Park: Black-tailed Skimmer

More surprisingly colourful in large.
Extra: Skipper Sipping Salvia

I went back to the walled garden at Brockwell Park to hunt the small skipper, and to see whether there were more butterflies out (with the sun shining)... I spotted meadow browns, various whites, and a peacock butterfly, but they weren't really settling, and the peacock stayed well away from the paths. The small skipper was about, but only settled briefly (see extra).
I visited the swan family on the pond on my way out of the park (I put my camera away...), but then heard a clattering of wings, and followed the source to snap this 3 1/2 winged black-tailed skimmer when it settled on a fence.
