OUR VIENNA CONNECTION...

... well Day 2 in Vienna was VERY special!

Special Blip meet with DollyKGray and Fred in Vienna. They very kindly came into meet us in the morning and show us around "other" parts of Vienna. 

After giving us a guided tour through the rail underground we were heading for one off my "bucket list" a cuppa and cake at the famous DEMEL famous since 1786 for their cake and pastries etc etc.
I could not go past the Lemontarte,  yummy!

After making the most of this super food and coffee Yvonne took us to see the magnificent St Stephens Cathedral what amazing history. 

After exploring other sections we then headed to what Yvonne and Fred guaranteed the girls will love and we will drool over the pork knuckles!!

So we arrived at Prater (Prata) Park - what a fun time - including a ride after lunch on the oldest Ferris wheel in the world - it was a monster and the views were majestic.

Oh yes I mentioned lunch.... well within the Park was the Schweizerhaus Beer Garden and of course the renown Pork knuckle and beer did not let us down. If you do not believe me check right here!

After the girls had a superb time in the Park on all the rides (or most) including the Ferris wheel with a great aspect of height we found our way with expert guidance to Stradtpark and the renowned Johann Strauss II monument. It was glistening in the late light.

What a day, and all thanks to Blipper DollyKGray and Fred for their kind generousity, much appreciated.
