My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

I do like to be beside the seaside

Owen's first trip to the seaside.
His first sensation of walking on a beach.
His first time paddling in the sea.
His first experience of having sand everywhere.

We had a great day out at Barmouth and it was lovely to see Owen getting his first beach trip. He seemed to love it despite it completely tiring him out. After trying the sand* we went for a walk over the dunes while Louisa and Aaron played and we found the big giant head that we couldn't find last time and a calm inlet from the sea just deep enough to paddle in*. He really couldn't get enough of that and I had to coerce him out of it to try the real sea with Louisa and Aaron. That, he wasn't quite so keen on, I think the -very small- waves were disrupting his balance a bit too much. Plus exhaustion was kicking in and he fell asleep as I carried him back.

Then it was more playing and back to the sea properly for Aaron and me before fish & chips on the seafront.
