Post wedding blues

It wasn't even my own wedding and I still manage to feel a bit "let down" after the wedding. It was the right thing to do, though, to spend a few days with norfolkdoc and W in Norfolk. Yesterday (this is a backblip), we had a lovely day out with them.

I've posted this photo partly to give some idea of how what I reckon to be a 6-7 kms walk back from Weighbourne Station via the edge of Sheringham Park and including a diversion to the top of the viewing gazebo could actually be quite a stretch in full sun and up to 30 degree heat. I reckon norfolkdoc is doing quite well, even though she insists the recovery was slower after her second operation. She's definitely walking quite a lot faster now. I've added a few extras, as I won't be doing anything else exciting any time soon, so I can't see them being needed. A photograph of the train from the top of the gazebo, similar to the one norfolkdoc posted. A massive tunnel spider's web. And a close up of the train, taken as it was leaving Weybourne station for Sheringham, just after we set off on our walk. Oh, and some poppies. Who can resist them?

After our walk, we dived into the nearest pub and had a good pub lunch, and then came home to chill out. I think I probably had too much sun, and the backs of my ears were hurting, as they do when I get sweaty. Consequently, I collapsed into my (rather hot) bed before 9pm, and had a much needed rest. While we had thunder, lightening and rain overnight Tuesday-Wednesday, nothing so good was promised for tonight.
