A good Macro day

The hottest day ever in the UK according to records, and we were busy painting windows etc outside, in the shade it was bearable, in the sun it was unbelievably hot, but much cooler than Cambridge!

Our lavender was awash with butterflies and bees, so between coats, I made the most of some macro time - diffused large flash head provided the lighting and allowed sufficient Depth of field, but the wind blowing the lavender about made it extremely difficult, consigning all but about 10 pics to the bin.
