Sheffield yesterday early evening

We were picking some young relatives up from the Europcar depot in Sheffield yesterday teatime and as they were stuck in traffic we had time to wander around the derelict carpark next door before they arrived (they just made it with five minutes to spare before the office closed).  It’s in a fairly run down part of Sheffield, just below the impressive Crown Court Building and there was lots to hold my interest, including insects on the wide variety of self seeded plants.

Earlier we’d been in Royston and while Ann had her feet done I walked down to the church which is a very old building (older than I thought as I’ve just been looking at its history online).  On a grave stone for two children who had died aged six and three I came across this lovely dynamic carving of an angel (in extra) which I’d originally thought would be my main blip.
