Folly

A local walk for The Bus Pass Walkers - caught bus to neighbouring village - walked towards and through Cottingley Woods to see this folly - built as a gothic ruin by Benjamin Ferrand in 1796 - P even stepped inside

Wasn’t folly to do choose this walk - some members of the group walked paths they’d never been on before - and saw the folly for the first time

Took refreshments at Stephen Smith’s Garden Centre - could have walked home from there - only three bus stops back to the village - but it being a Bus Pass Walk - felt I ought to go for the free ride
