Learning day by day

Day 3 BB Summer School

Oh she's had a fabulous day. Class with Olivia Cowley, which she loved. Rep with Ruth Brill and then Virtuosity/solos with her favourite teacher Téo Debrueil.

I watched class and solos. She was on the wrong side of the studio for class but I could just about see her. In Téo's class it was like a furnace. He started off teaching them the peasants dance from Giselle. It was partner work and C was too shy to ask Jack, Anna's brother to partner her. It was a shame because he later told his Mum he would have happily partnered her.

It quickly became clear that it was too hot for the kids to concentrate well so Téo moved on to doing 'fun' stuff. Some grand allegro at C's request and spins around the room. C at this point was grinning like a loon and whilst everyone was flagging she just kept going!

After class just before we left Emma N came over and asked how she had so much energy. When C asked her what she meant she said that Téo had said there was one girl who grinned her way through the class and did everything over and over while everyone else was flagging. Emma had asked him who and he had pointed at C!
