Mounting

I have had a busy day mounting a lot of prints, using my faithful Longridge mount cutter.

Generally it went well, although a couple of prints had to be removed from their mounts and mounted again (not straight, or the aperture was not quite the right size). Most frustrating, though, is when, during mounting, I noticed a fault on a print and had to go back and print the photograph again. Not helped by the fact that my new printer tends to produce darker prints than the old printer on which most of those I was mounting had been made. (The profiles on the old printer were clearly no longer accurate.) Further adjustments were required before printing again.

It is painful being a perfectionist.
