The Old Lodgings

Today we went for a walk along the Glyn Valley Tramway, where there used to be a narrow gauge steam railway from the limestone quarry.

We watched a peregrine harrying a pair of ravens but couldn’t tell who won!

This derelict but beautiful building used to be lodgings for 30 quarrymen but now it’s used for a log store.

The path passed through a garden and the owners pointed out a big dragonfly perching on the peg bag hanging on their washing line. Perhaps it was hanging out to dry.
