A patch of sunlight

An afternoon walk at Western Springs Lake when the rain had paused and the wind was low. The lake was showing the effects of the heavy rainfall in the last few days, and the water was near to overflowing the banks. The geese weren't interested in that, as they were on the slightly rough water indulging in mating games. Every so often there would be three in a group, until one got chased away. Then all three looked ever so casual. Waiting for the next eruption of squawking, wing flapping and running on the surface of the water.
