Off to Southampton

Meeting bro-in-law and family (again) at Ocean Village Marina (Southampton). A new place for us. Not convinced vegan-friendly. Will soon find out.

Amazingly my back is absolutely fine. Didn’t expect to make it today.

Update: Fun, animated afternoon with the family, as always. We went to a restaurant we hadn‘t been to in Ocean Marina Village. Relaxed, cool atmosphere, with food to suit. They all had a huge Sunday roast sharing platter. I had a vegan adaptation with Nut Roast. And we were even offered ‘more potatoes and veg’ which we duly accepted. Pretty good value. Can’t complain.

The hourly Cross Country train which we usually aim to take was on strike. But there are alternatives, one takes much longer, the other noisier and can be crowded (especially on Friday afternoon with rowdy hen and stag parties). Anyway it wasn’t too bad today.
