Blakedean

At the head of the Hardcastle Crags valley is Blakedean, alongside the road to Widdop and Colne.
The track on the right-hand side of the Blip is in fact the remains of a 5.5 mile railway that was built to carry supplies and men for the construction of the three Walshaw reservoirs at the beginning of the 20th Century.  The railway was a narrow gauge affair that ran from Heptonstall to the reservoirs.
