Helen had a notion to visit the Maritime Museum in Irvine.  We knew nothing much about it, but it turned out to be a very interesting visit.  There was a free tour on offer, which the HG and Helen took advantage of.  There was a lot of walking in it so I opted instead to have a look at the shop and have a seat by the water while I waited for them.

We drove to West Kilbride and had a wee snack at a place we know, and then followed the River Clyde around by Fairlie, Largs, Gourock and Greenock on our way home.  It was a lovely route, but unfortunately we timed it wrongly and got caught in some horrendous traffic, so we were quite late in getting home.

So waiting for dinner to cook just now, and having a wee rest.
