Synchronised showing

The Three Cattle category at the County Show afforded demonstrations of synchronised cattle scratching and the like. Sadly, only the beasts were judged, not the balletic performances.

We were waiting for the pipe band to make an appearance at the advertised 1:00; they were only a couple of hours late and came with a protection squad (extra) for a brief skirl before exiting smartly. Ah well; at least Dad enjoyed a sausage bun and Orkney rhubarb and custard ice cream while he sat and waited.. and waited. I wonder what happened?

We caught the shuttle bus up to the show ground, driven by a welcoming and cheerful chap. Great delivery to the grounds entrance and much less walking for Dad. We'll definitely do it next time.
