If you can't beat them...

Hemerocallis.

After the days and days of rain a dryish day yesterday and a dry day today meant "cut the grass".  So the morning was taken up with the lawn at home.  Then before we headed out to the Lodge I prepared the dough for Pizza bases.  Then off for more grass cutting.

Not having taken any shots in the morning I looked round for blips.  Two jumped out.  The seeds on the Kniphofia and the Hemerocallis (more commonly called Daylily).  They are called Daylily for the obvious reason the flowers only open for a day.  Other buds on the same stem will open at different times.  Native to China and the Far East most modern varieties spring from the USA.

Finally the Pizza (my first attempt) proved very successful.
