Romneya coulteri

Visiting Kanyl so had a damp wander round the garden looking for blips.  Lots and lots of tiny frogs about the size of a finger nail.  Why haven't I blipped one?  They were all out of focus!  So as so often I had to resort to flowers.

The name Californian Tree Poppy gives an indication of where they come from, they are also found in Mexico.  The raindrops on the petals where what caught my eye.  

Off to Edinburgh tomorrow visiting Katkatkat.  Looking forward to the blip meet at the botanical gardens.  We intend to lunch at the café around 12:00 and then visit the exhibition "Insect Portraits of Levon Biss".  Recommended by Katkatkat
