Zipadeedoodah!

(I just made the spelling up, probably it's nonsense.)  Matty on the zip-wire at Bowhill today. 

The sun shone all day, and it didn't rain a single drop. We spent hours there doing really not very much - eating lunch, walking the dog, doing the squirrel trail (didn't see any, but the children solved all the clues and got a lollipop for their prizes), eating ice-cream, piling the counters of the giant chess set into a tower even taller than Daddy, and watching it topple with a very satisfactory crash, and of course tackling all the challenges in the playground. 
We came home tired but happy - as we used to say in our school essays on 'What I Did in the Holidays.'
